One Powerful Story.
During a Corporate Canine Therapy wellness visit at Camp Erin, a camper painted four of Juno’s nails blue on one paw.
That small moment became a symbol of remembrance, compassion and conversation.
Through Juno’s Blue Nail Initiative, every contribution helps support children and families experiencing grief.
WHY CAMP ERIN MATTERS
A Weekend Made for Kids Who Are Grieving.
Camp Erin Toronto is a free weekend bereavement camp for children and teens ages 6–17 who are grieving the death of someone significant in their lives.
Through grief education, emotional support and traditional camp activities, young people are given a safe place to explore their grief, learn healthy coping skills and connect with others who understand what they’re going through.
Led by bereavement professionals and caring volunteers, Camp Erin helps remind kids of something incredibly important:
They are not alone.
A safe space to feel, heal, & belong
Support from caring
counsellors, volunteers & dogs
Activities, connection, and moments of light & joy.
Why the Nails Stay Blue
The colour stayed.
So did the conversation.
Every time someone asks about Juno’s blue nails, we have another opportunity to tell them about Camp Erin and the children it supports.
That conversation became the Juno & Friends Blue Nail Initiative: a simple way to turn curiosity into awareness, and awareness into support.
